Organise blogger meetings for Indian bloggers

Our Christmas update is here! Now you can organise blogger meetings in your city, send them invites, print out guest lists and more! We believe that we’re 1 step closer to our goal of bringing Indian bloggers together.

We’ve also fixed many, many bugs in this version. What bugs, you ask? Did you know that you could add bloggers to your network without being approved by one of our moderators first? Well – not any more! 🙂

We’ve also added new submission guidelines for IndiBlogger, since we had many discussion forums trying to pass themselves off as blogs. Needless to say, their thinly veiled disguises failed to bypass our high-tech blog validation algorithms (our moderators).

Merry Christmas, everyone!

Hi Pav, it looks like you had listed the same blog twice, which is why you could not find the second listing. The first listing can be seen on your blogger page.

Umm hey, I just wanted to say that my account has not been activated so it would be great if you could please check it out. I believe it’s been a couple of days since I tried activating it. Thanks, and no problem if it will take some time, I just want to know the status.

  16. Renie says:

Hi Ish, your listing has been activated, thanks!

  17. Robin says:

Hey thank you Renie. I will wait for your email!!

  18. Ish says:

@Renie: That was fast, thank you so much!

  19. Ish says:

@Renie: Hey sorry for the bother but I wanted to ask something. Do you people check each and every submission personally to make sure they’re Indians or is it based on IP Address and stuff? You don’t have to tell if it’s private stuff but I just wanted to know how it works.

  20. Renie says:

Hi Ish, we check every blog personally to see if it complies with our submission guidelines, and to make sure the blogger is Indian. Sometimes we have foreigners who create a blog to write about their time in India – which we accept. Checking every blog personally also gives us ideas on what badges to create for the community. By the way, you have a great blog going, I love the “I am not a pervert” post. My sentiments exactly!

  21. Ish says:

@Renie: Ah thanks, that’s so nice of you to say that.

And I’ve got to give it to you for making so much personal effort to ensure that the people who join are Indian, you people are very dedicated and I’m proud to be a part of Indiblogger.

  22. ketaki says:

Oiii! Activate my blog noooowwwwww!! I’m on the lookout for a Blogger T-shirt [see? I’m soo dedicated!] .. I’m from Chennai, where can I pick one up here?
Google online store is NOT an option :p

  23. ketaki says:

Okay I just found that my link is already part of IndiBlogger… Sowwie!

  24. That is an excellent Idea. I would like to meet with like-minded peoples in such meetings. Submitted my blog hope it get approved by your high-tech blog validation algorithms (your moderators) 🙂

    Thanks.
