The Bangalore bloggers meet was a first for a lot of things.
And one of those was an online guide for ethical blogging and was initiated at the meet by Mrinal, who brought up the subject of blogging ethics at the recent blogger meet at Bangalore. Subsequent discussion revolved around the fact that most bloggers are simply unaware of what’s right and what’s not. Sridhar then brought up the idea of creating a wiki on IndiBlogger, so the blogging community can formulate the rules and guidelines of ethical blogging.
And, Ladies and Gentlemen, fellow indibloggers, we have started a wiki where you can create and edit content. Indiblogger is not going to influence what you write. But we will be looking at the entries. So, like Mrinal and other bloggers said, please keep this ethical and professional.
To start off, we should be working towards a good place to start Guidelines to Ethical Blogging for new bloggers, for bloggers who are just plain unaware, for bloggers who plagiarize content and for bloggers who are not sure what is right and what may not be.
And of course, just like any wiki, we welcome any blogger to create and edit content.
